Joe is the founding Chairperson and President of the West Islip Association since May 2008. He is also the President and Board Member of the Oak Neck Lane Association from 1994 to the present.  Joe is the General Manager of Solaricorp - a US manufacturer and supplier of electronic passenger information displays systems to MTA-NYCT, LIRR, MNRR, SIRTOA, New Jersey Transit, SEPTA - Philadelphia and MBTA Boston and Port Authority NY/NJ.
 

Lynn Luttenberger

Vice President

A resident of West Islip for 40 years, her and her husband raised 3 children who graduated West Islip Schools.  Lynn has been involved with the West Islip Association since it’s establishment as the LaGrange Task Force in May of 2008.  She fought alongside her WIA colleagues to Save the LaGrange and in April 2014 took over as President of the West Islip Historical Society and establishing the West Islip History Center, which opened in 2019.  In 2021 Lynn was awarded the Women of Distinction award from Suffolk County Legislator, Steve Flotteron for her volunteering efforts.  She is also a member of the Women of West Islip (WOWI) and actively participates in fundraising efforts throughout West Islip including the revitalization of West Islip beach and Madeleine’s Playground and previously was Chair of the Quality of  Life Committee for the West Islip Summit.

Bio 

John has been a resident of West Islip since 1955 when he entered 7th grade and originally attended the Higbie Lane School before switching to the more modern West Islip High School.  John then earned an Associates Degree from SUNY Farmingdale and a Bachelors Degree from Dowling, both in Business Administration.  John ran his own home improvement business in town and, with his wife, raised their two daughters here, both of whom graduated from West Islip High School, and more recently John's grandchildren also graduated from West Islip.  He thoroughly loves being involved in community affairs and he is the President of the Willetts Point Association, a Board Member of the West Islip Historical Society, and a Board Member of the West Islip Association.

Shawn Gallagher

Board Member

Shawn is a lifelong resident of West Islip (Class of 99') and has been a Board Member of the West Islip Association since 2021. Shawn is a Syracuse University graduate and is currently a Certified Financial Planner CFP® and Partner with the Frisch Financial Group, based out of Melville, NY.  Along with his wife Lisa, who is also a West Islip High School graduate, they are raising their two children here as the 4th generation of Gallaghers in West Islip.  Shawn is an active member in the community and loves his time coaching baseball with the West Islip Little League.  

Ed Ragan

Board Member

Ed currently lives with his wife in West Islip, which he has done for most of his 50 years since graduation from West Islip High School.  He operates Balmoral Consulting LLC as a commercial insurance consultant and serves as an expert witness on business practices of insurance organizations and other clients.  Ed graduated from the State University of New York and is a licensed P&C insurance broker.  Ed is also a member of the Save The Great South Bay organization including its "Creek Defenders" of the South Shore.  He is also a member of the West Islip Beautification Society and is a past member of the West Islip Fire Department Rescue (EMT).

Susan Falkenmayer

Susan has lived in West Islip for 24 years and, along with her husband, have raised their son here, who is now a West Islip High School graduate.  Susan has worked in the construction industry for over 12 years and has excellent insight into what projects are happening all over the area.  Susan always wants to do what is best for West Islip and is an active member in the community.  She is a member of The West Islip Watch, volunteers with Ruff House Animal Rescue, and has been with the West Islip Association since 2023.
