VIlla Monaco
The current plan is to replace the existing structure with a 2-story medical building. Plans are currently underway and a Town of Islip approval would be needed. Article Link
Good Samaritan Hospital
A 300,000 square foot expansion of the hospital is underway. This is projected to be completed in 2025. Article Link
Boyd-Spencer Property
The buyer of the Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home is currently working with the Town of Islip on what is needed to develop the property into a physical therapy office.
Masera School Property
On January 19th, 2021 the West Islip community overwhelmingly voted down a sale and development of apartments at the Masera school property. The school board just announced a 10-year lease agreement with BOCES, which will provide capital improvements and maintain use of the fields for the residents of West Islip Article Link
Dzus Property Development
Work continues on the development of the old Dzus Fastener Co. property. A new 7-Eleven convenience and gas station is fully up and running and several new tenants are set to arrive in 2024, including Brownstones Coffee.
